PLEXTALK Pocket PTP1 Firmware Upgrade: Version 3

Shinano Kenshi Co., Ltd. and Plextor are pleased to announce the release of PLEXTALK Pocket PTP1 new firmware, Version 3.

Version 3 has added more format support: Microsoft Word .doc and WMA (Windows Media Audio)*.
* Pocket PTP1 supports only unprotected WMA at present.

The playable content/formats on PLEXTALK Pocket PTP1 Version 3 are:

• Daisy 2.02, ANSI/NISO Z39.86/DAISY 3.0, NLS, Bookshare, RFB&D
• TXT, HTML, DOC
• MP3, WAV, AMR-MB+, DAISY ADPCM2, OGG, WMA unprotected

Version 3 has more simplified operation and is more intuitive such as:

• Faster key response,
• Option to suppress a key sound after pressing,
• Announce file/folder name as audio track/album name
• Automatic bookmark numbering

More features have been added on Version 3 for your easy navigation, recording sound quality and others.
